About me

Hello! Nice to meet you, my name is Sanni, and I am a licensed psychologist from Finland.

I love traveling and warm weather, which is probably why I ended up living in Paraguay. I remember many people, myself sometimes included, questioning this decision (“What will you do in Paraguay? It’s a third world country. Finnish education and health care systems are so much better.), but luckily I didn’t let that stop me from following my heart and things have been working out better than fine.

At the moment my family includes my boyfriend and our six cats (yes, six. providing a temporary home for street cat’s isn’t so easy). Together, we run a small float therapy center in Asunción.

My Approach

My therapeutic approach is integrative, meaning that I tailor each session to your individual needs and preferences. With training in cognitive-behavioral methods, mindfulness, systematic approaches, and coaching, I have a wide array of techniques to draw from. At the core of my approach, however, is a commitment to presence, empathy, and truly understanding your unique experience.

Sessions with me are flexible: we might dive into self-exploration, build scientifically-backed skills, or focus on specific goals and challenges that you’re facing at the moment. Between sessions, I’ll often provide exercises or reflections to help you carry our work into daily life. This continuity gives you the chance to deepen insights and practice new skills on your own, amplifying the impact of our time together.

Throughout this process, I’m here as both a confidant and a guide, offering a fresh perspective and supporting your journey toward self-actualization. With enough distance to see things clearly and enough empathy to connect deeply, I’m dedicated to helping you reach a place of greater clarity and fulfillment.

Work Experience

I have been working as an independent therapist and psychologist globally since 2018. During these years, I have worked with numerous clients and gained experience in addressing various challenges such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, crisis situations, family conflicts, insomnia, OCD, and more.

Over the years, I have also provided EAP psychologist and coaching services to international companies. This has included both short-term and long-term psychological support, crisis management and coaching.

I also have experience helping individuals prepare for and integrate non-ordinary states of consciousness by providing psychological support and guidance. I assist clients in navigating these experiences, fostering clarity, stability, and meaningful personal growth.
